About Us

MKUD MAKEDONIJA has been a branch of the Macedonian Orthodox Community of the City of Greater Wollongong "Saint Dimitrija Solunski" since 1982.

MKUD MAKEDONIJA is a very vibrant Macedonian dancing group that offers Macedonian dance and language classes for children, young men and young women. MKUD MAKEDONIJA enables our children to maintain the Macedonian culture and tradition through its music, language, dancing, social aspect and fundraising activities.

MKUD MAKEDONIJA have performed at events and dances around Australia, including Sydney, Newcastle, Queanbeyan, Canberra, Melbourne, Queensland, Perth, P & O cruise as well as travelling to Macedonia in 2010. MKUD MAKEDONIJA has performed at multi-cultural festivals such as Viva-La-Gong in Wollongong and Floriade in Canberra.

Dance training is held each Wednesday at Sun Lounge Function Centre, 8-14 Stewart Street, Wollongong at the following times:

6:30pm – 7:30pm

Choreographer is Thomas Vangelovski

Macedonian language classes are held at Sun Lounge Function Centre, 8-14 Stewart Street, Wollongong at the following times:

Group 7:30pm – 8:30pm

Cost is $100 per child per year including MKUD training t-shirt.

Registrations

Registrations for Macedonian dancing and Macedonian language classes will commence on 7 February 2018.

Classes will proceed on this evening.

Dance fees - $100 per dancer per annum

Language classes - FREE
